web / Jeja Church
Jeja Church is a local Korean church that relied on its website and Zoom during the pandemic. With their platform showing its age, the church needed a fresh visual and structural update. They reached out to redesign the site into an inviting space for seamless online worship.
Problem
During the pandemic, the church relied heavily on its website and Zoom to stay connected, but the aging site felt visually tired and lacked a clear structure. The congregation needed a refreshed, intuitive digital space where members of all generations — especially seniors — could easily find sermons, announcements, and worship services without confusion.
Initial Proposal (wireframe & visual mock-up)
Result
I suggested improved design layouts and mockups within the constraints of their existing WordPress setup, focusing on the following key points:
- Instant Access: Placed online worship, sermons, and weekly bulletins on the home page for quick navigation.
- Accessible Visuals: Introduced a warm aesthetic with generous spacing and legible typography for older members.
- Hybrid-Ready Platform: Established an organized framework to support sustained online and in-person worship.
- Outcome: Church leadership approved the final proposal, though implementation was paused due to resource constraints.
